The Riverfront Museum is not simply a relocation and expansion of the Lakeview Museum and planetarium. It’s a collaboration that also includes the Peoria Regional Museum Society, Peoria Historical Society, African-American Hall of Fame, the Illinois High School Association (IHSA), and Heartland Foundation.
It’s an exciting concept usually found only in larger metropolitan areas, but it can play in Peoria. This portion of The Block—the only component requiring public funding—is the focus of current fundraising efforts.
